So, I'm looking to replace suppliment my year-and-a-half old Nokia Lumia 925 with a Sony Xperia Z3 for reasons. I'm a bit hung up on the color, though. The Silver Green (exclusive for unlocked, Japan-only models, and a few other variants) tickles my fancy, but it isn't the most masculine color; I don't mind that too much, though. The Copper is pretty striking too. What do you lot think? Other available colors are White and Black.

Are you going to root the Sony and out something better on it. Android sucks unless you already know what you're doing.

I have a 920 for my personal phone and a Moto G LTE for work and I despise the Moto. Even Stock Android is confusing and a pain to use easily.

Microsoft is going to have to royally fuck up Windows 10 to make we want to switch to anything else. To be honest there is a fair possibility they will whiff it, but interacting with both iOS and Android on a daily basis has solidified my love for WP as a mobile OS.

I'll only be rooting it if I find there's something I need it for. I only use my phone for music, opportune photos, tethering in a pinch (it's paid tethering), light OneNote usage (I have Office 365), maps (especially in Japan - Google maps bites for finding businesses, but there's a Mapion app and probably others), TuneIn radio, and most importantly on-the-go and on-the-john web browsing. Really any OS will suit me, and I'm also considering an iPhone, but I don't know if I'm willing to pay nearly $800 for a 128GB model.

Things driving me toward phone replacement ,outside of itching for something new, are" lack of [expandable] storage, battery wearing out on mine, shittier Xbox music app in 8.1 versus old Music+Videos hub, higher resolution display and shitty maps in Japan (I'm coming back after this trip!). I figure that if I get something iOS or Android, I can keep my 925 and swap SIMs at will with an adapter. I still love my Windows Phone, and it's still lightning fast; it's just getting old.

Yeah, I am longing for something better than my 920, but there really isn't anything out there. The 1020 is just as old and has the same issues the 920 does, so there is no reason to buy one unlocked and switch.

MS needs to hurry up and make another flagship device.
